THEME

Gender Diversity Matters

Are unconscious biases stalling gender progress?

WHY

A study that was undertaken by Accenture indicted that improving gender parity could unlock R319 billion into South Africa’s GDP. Studies by the International Labor Organization showed that gender parity could add US$5.3 trillion to the world’s GDP by 2025. There are several arguments, articles, research and evidentiary support establishing the significance of gender parity, then,  WHY IS IT STILL AN ONGOING GLOBAL CONCERN, why are industries remaining divided along the gender lines;  what are we doing wrong; are there unconscious biases that is stalling this progression?

WHAT WILL YOU HEAR

Join our panelist as we navigate through a rich conversation on what is being achieved, current concerns, and a possible way forward to accelerate gender parity –Our discussion will also include suggestions and ideas to promote inclusivity and diversity, furthermore we explore the journeys of our panelist, through a ‘male dominated world’.

Our series is open to all industry professionals. If you find these topics fascinating, and appealing – most importantly – RELEVANT – we suggest that you connect, listen, participate, and actively incorporate the knowledge that you have learnt in your daily lives. Knowledge is power plus ACTION!
