Becoming a CA (Singapore)

Programmes to help Members Build and Enhance Skill sets with Ease and Flexibility

The agreements allow for membership reciprocity between members of ISCA and four professional accountancy bodies. Without having to fulfill additional professional or educational requirements, eligible ISCA members who hold the CA (Singapore) designation and have completed the Singapore CA Qualification programme can apply to be a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI), Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) or Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS).  Similarly, an eligible CA ANZ, CAI, ICAEW or ICAS member can apply to become a full member of ISCA and be conferred the CA (Singapore) designation, which is recognised as a mark of professional excellence and a pre-requisite for being a public accountant in Singapore.

The Singapore CA Qualification (Foundation) allows entry into the Singapore CA Qualification for interested candidates without an Accredited Accountancy Degree. Upon completion of the Singapore CA Qualification (Foundation), candidates would have fulfilled the Academic Base requirement and thus qualify for enrolment  into the Singapore CA Qualification programme.

The Singapore CA Qualification programme is a comprehensive post-graduation accountancy programme that equips you with the necessary skills and knowledge needed to be a Chartered Accountant of Singapore (CA (Singapore). Upon completion of the Singapore CA Qualification, candidates will be conferred the CA (Singapore) designation.

Accountancy professionals in business and finance can enhance their competencies by completing the ISCA Professional Business Accountant (PBA) Programme and be conferred the ISCA PBA designation which validates their expertise, knowledge and experience that is valued by employers and the industry.

This six-month programme that is offered through e-learning platform will equip accountancy professionals with emerging skill sets and knowledge to handle dynamic business situations by focusing on practical business cases. The programme is aligned with the ISCA Professional Accountants in Business (PAIB) Framework.

The ISCA Digital Badges and Chartered Accountants Worldwide (CAW) Network Member Logo, is an innovative and more visible way to showcase your mark of excellence as Chartered Accountants.

ISCA Digital badges are secure, web-enabled credentials containing verified information about your professional achievements. And this includes ISCA membership milestones and professional accomplishments acquired via ISCA CPE Certification courses and specialisation pathways.  In addition to digital badges, ISCA has worked with CAW to create a Network Member Logo for Chartered Accountants.

Developed by ISCA and in collaboration with industry experts to build and shore up capabilities in the financial forensics field for both public and private sectors, the ISCA FFA Qualification is the first applied learning financial forensic qualification developed by a professional body in the region.

Upon completion of the ISCA FFA Qualification and with accumulation of at least three years of relevant work experience in financial forensic related fields, individuals can apply for ISCA membership and the ISCA Financial Forensic Professional (FFP) credential, subject to meeting prevailing membership admission requirements.

The demand for urban infrastructure and services is expected to grow strongly with infrastructure investments in developing Asia. Developed with inputs from industry experts and supported by Infrastructure Asia, the ISCA IPFQ is the first qualification leading to the conferment of the credential by a professional body in Asia.

Individuals can apply for both ISCA membership and the ISCA Infrastructure & Project Finance Professional (ISCA IPFP) credential, subject to meeting prevailing membership admission and experience requirements.

Data analytics skills is in demand now and in the future as the accountancy sector continues to transform.
