Beyond the Numbers: The Human skills powering Tomorrow’s Leader

January 15, 2026 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

SUMMARY:
In this session, Bartek shares how he first observed the Human Skills gap firsthand while working at a Big Four firm, and how this challenge has intensified as the finance profession undergoes rapid change and automation. Drawing on LEVRA’s evidence-based Human Skills Framework – developed through research across 31 sub-skills – he will show how accountants can break down these skills into practical, actionable behaviours that improve team performance, communication, and adaptability. The session focuses on the Human Skills accountants struggle with most – such as active listening, responding to feedback, managing upwards, resilience, and adopting a growth mindset – and offers simple ways leaders can apply these skills to their teams immediately.
