New York screening of ICAEW’s All Too Familiar

FreeDuncan Wiggetts, Chief Officer, Professional Standards with ICAEW will present and then lead a discussion around the award winning ICAEW anti-money laundering film “All Too Familiar” on September 28th. This will be at the CLA offices at 60 E 42nd Street on the 51st floor, in New York. Space is limited and registration required. This event is CPE eligible.
All Too Familiar is an award-winning anti-money laundering training film, produced by ICAEW in collaboration with HMRC. It explores the degree of trust still placed in personal and professional relationships and whether trust is enough in the fight against economic crime. It aims to challenge mindsets and provoke discussion on the need for greater professional scepticism when faced with potential money laundering risks.
Participants will earn 1 CPE credit (for the first 50 minutes of the program 1 CPE credit is awarded but only if the program is 50 minutes.)
LEARNING OBJECTIVES: By the end of today’s sessions, attendees will be able to answer the following questions – How to:
- identify potential money laundering red flags
- mitigate the risks of money laundering by designing effective procedures
- prepare good quality suspicious audit reports (SARs)
- disengage from a client / understand professional responsibilities
- use appropriate due diligence and risk assessment
