We welcome you to the Saint Andrew’s Golf Club, the cradle of golf in America and one of the five founding members of the USGA. The history of Saint Andrew’s is replete with “firsts” in American golf. Saint Andrew’s hosted the first U.S. Amateur and “Open” Championships. It was a founding member (along with The Country Club, the Chicago Golf Club, the Newport Country Club and Shinnecock Hills Golf Club) of the USGA.
The magnificent course has been shaped by the skill and imagination of three renowned designers over its nearly 135 years of operation. Today’s layout is largely the product of a Jack Nicklaus Signature redesign undertaken over the years 1983-85. But a number of the original holes remain in play, largely unchanged. And a number of holes have been subsequently refined in an unceasing effort to enhance the aesthetic beauty of the course and enrich the playing experience.

We hope that you enjoy your golfing experience at Saint Andrew’s and ask that you carefully review the following information:
- Access to the Saint Andrew’s Golf Club is controlled by an electronic gatehouse. Please coordinate with your host who will open the gate remotely upon your arrival.
- Please wear appropriate collared (or mock-turtle neck) golf shirts, which must be worn tucked in on the golf course. Shorts or lady’s skirts should end just above the knee.
- Cell phones are permitted only in the parking lot, in the locker rooms, on the patio outside the John Reid Room and in the out-of-bounds areas of the golf course.
- Saint Andrew’s has a strict NO TIPPING POLICY. Please observe this rule when dealing with ALL members of our staff./vc_column_text]
