In June 2023, CAW Network USA hosted an in-person conference at Fordham University in New York City. This third session is on the awareness and advocacy of sustainability.

Siofra Adams, Manager of ESG Reporting and Assurance Team at KPMG, kicks off the panel by giving an example of how accounting has different opportunities to take part in ESG.

Alyssa Rade, Chief Sustainability Officer at Sustain Life, gives us an overview to the different frameworks used in the sustainability world.

Stathis Gould, Director of the International Federation of Accountants, New York, answers the question, “What does climate have to do with financial reporting?”

Dr. Barbara Porco, Associate Dean at Fordham University, expands on what materiality is in ESG reporting standards and why there is pushback from the SEC proposals.
