June 25 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
The Coming of the 5th Industrial Revolution

June 25th 2026 at 12.00pm Eastern / 9.00am Pacific / 5.00pm UK

CAW Network USA invites you to attend this exciting online event focusing on discussing the Coming of the 5th Industrial Revolution. Our first session (presentation) runs for about 45 minutes. We will follow this by introducing our moderator and additional panelist, who will join Gerard for the second session (panel discussion) of about 45 minutes, which can also include any audience Q&A. The second session will focus on tying back the initial presentation to its impact on the accounting profession. Total time including introduction and polls 90 minutes.

This presentation will cover:

  • Learning objectives for The 5th Industrial Revolution shifts the accounting industry from pure efficiency first automation to values-first human-machine collaboration and sustainability.
  • Values-First Over Efficiency-First: While the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) focused heavily on digitizing data and optimizing costs, 5IR expands the scope to include environmental impact, human well-being, and income inequality.
  • Stakeholder Capitalism: The metric for success broadens from pure shareholder wealth to broader stakeholder value, pushing sustainability to the forefront of corporate reporting.
  • A key enabler for the above is energy and a focus on energy and energy security is both an opportunity and a constraint. The biggest firms driving the Stock market boom (at least in the USA) are all involved and betting on data centers and AI which in turn have huge energy requirements.

This will be followed by a panel discussion of the key items and priorities arising.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

By the end of today’s session, attendees will have achieved the following objectives:

  1. Understand that the 5th Industrial Revolution is adding to the 4th Industrial Revolution
  2. Understand its opportunities and threats
  3. Understand the impact of energy supply volatility and energy security
  4. Understand the importance of the impact of broader stakeholder value
  5. Understand how environment, human well-being and inequalities are becoming key requirement
