CAW Beyond the Numbers

CAW Network USA invites you to attend our 2023 in-person conference: Beyond Accounting – Beyond the Numbers on June 8th , 2023.

The conference will be a single stream event running from 9 am to 5.20 pm followed by an optional evening event at 5.30pm and refreshments from 6.30pm. The sessions will take place in the McNally Amphitheater, and sponsors / catering will be in Platt Court, situated directly outside the Amphitheater. Lunch will be held in a separate location. There will be 6 separate sessions, for the main conference, which combine for up to 7 CPE credits. The evening session adds another 1 credit. The conference fee includes breakfast, lunch and (if the evening event is also selected) an open bar and finger food. It also includes a digital badge and / or a CPE certificate (if applicable and requirements are met).

The sessions will be a mix of presentations and discussions.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

By the end of today’s sessions, attendees will be able to answer the following

Note: In order to be awarded the full credit hours, you must sign in to the event and then attend / participate in the full program. Participants will earn up to 8 CPE credits (For the first 50 minutes of the program 1 CPE credit is awarded but only if the program is 50 minutes. For each additional complete 25 minutes of program time an additional 0.5 CPE credits can be awarded.)

Karin has over 25 years’ experience supporting Chartered Accountants and other finance professionals with their career and professional development (including) through training, executive coaching and providing mentoring and careers advisory supports. She is passionate about ensuring that members have a positive experience when engaging with their professional body and feel supported at each stage of their career from admission to retirement.

She also leads a number of ED&I initiatives within Chartered Accountants Ireland and across the profession, including involvement in a global CAW ED&I taskforce, LGBTQ+ and Ethnicity network groups and Returners programs.

Dr. Porco specializes in Ethics in Financial Markets and Sustainability Innovation and Reporting. Barbara is a CPA and holds a PhD in Accounting / Ethics/Business (Fordham University) as well as a Masters in Sustainability and Environmental Management from Harvard University.
