Back in May 2022, we held a part 2 of a two-part series focusing on the opportunity for the accounting profession to take head and establish governance over the measurement of how business—as a whole—performs and achieves a net-zero target.

Watch some highlights of the webinar below:

Barbara Davidson, Head of Accounting, Audit and Disclosure at Carbon Tracker Initiative, highlights the important role accounting plays in supporting Net Zero endeavors.

Brad Sparks, Executive Director with The Prince’s Accounting for Sustainability (A4S) Project, shares an example of finance and accounting’s role in sustainability through budgeting for Net Zero.

Moderator Dr. Barbara Porco of Fordham University, asks Dr. Tim Hedley, Executive in Residence at Fordham University and previously a partner at KPMG, if he expects a change in future investment strategies, given the growing importance of sustainability.

During this webinar, viewers had a chance to attend a breakout room to discuss the webinar, sustainability, accounting, and financial services as a whole. Ros Roberts, Assistant Professor of Accounting at Sacramento State University, acted as the Breakout Room Moderator and highlights what was discussed during the breakout.
