Please join Chapter Head Phil Varley, on SATURDAY MAY 4 2024, when the Denver Chapter of CAWNetworkUSA will be having an informal gathering of its members at the Centennial Airport location of Wings Over The Rockies – Exploration of Flight Center, 13005 Wings Way, Centennial, 80112. This is on the south side of Centennial Airport, to the north of the intersection of Peoria St and County Line Rd. Access from E-470 and Peoria St.
In the morning, there is the customary fly-in of all sorts of small planes, from Piper Cubs to Second World War fighters. In addition, there will be a display of exotic cars including Rolls-Royces and Bentleys. The event is being held between 0930 and 1130. The museum is open all day and admission is gratis as it is a City of Denver “free day”. Food is available for purchase from food trucks and Phil will be providing complimentary beverages from under the “Orange Umbrella”, which will be close to a Bentley Brooklands in “British Racing Green”.
Please register in advance so I have an idea of how many drinks to bring, but don’t worry if you can’t commit until the day. Last year, we had about 30 cars and 20 planes. And the advanced simulators within the hangar are available free of charge all day as well!
