DC Chapter Meeting – “Christmas in July, Taxes in August”.
At our next DC Metro Chapter meeting, Shelia Flett will be giving one of her highly regarded tax updates. Sheila will provide a refresher on US individual tax reporting obligations for US citizens and green card holders alike as well as some information on relevant federal and local state tax updates for 2024.
Sheila is a Virginia CPA and Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland. She moved to the US in 1997 as a financial controller with Irish multinational, CRH. After a break to raise her children, she qualified as a CPA and moved into US individual tax in 2014, with a focus on taxpayers with international interests. She was a tax manager with the Wolf Group P.C. until November of 2023 and is currently on a career break but planning to return to the world of US tax soon.
Our Chapter meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 13th at the offices of RSM (1861 International Drive, Suite 400, McLean, VA 22012). We’ll start at 6:00pm with some food, drink and time to network. The cost to attend is $15 for members and $25 for guests. Registration is required. The closing date for registering is Friday, August 9th. There is parking in the building and parking validation tickets will be provided. We look forward to seeing you there.
