‘Beyond Accounting: A Future fit Chartered Accountant.’

Program Description:

CAW Network USA is partnering with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants, focusing on what’s needed to be a future fit chartered accountant. There are 5 key components. One of these ‘Technical’ is about what Chartered Accountants have studied in order to qualify as CA’s. The other 4 are about how we then develop and grow to be ‘future fit’. All speakers are SAICA members and based in Johannesburg, New York or Cardiff. Our first session runs for about an hour and covers the other 4 components – Business, Leadership, Personal and Future.

In our second session, the 4 speakers will participate in a panel discussion moderated by Natasha Holbeck.

Speakers

Andile Khumalo

Andile Khumalo is a seasoned entrepreneur and Chartered Accountant (SA) with over 20 years in business. He is Founder & CEO of KhumaloCo, an investment firm with interests in Technology, Media, Telecommunications, Financial Services and Venture Capital. He serves as non-executive Chairman of investee companies Brave Group and Ince. In 2013, Andile founded I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR, a national programme that helps entrepreneurs grow their businesses. He serves as a fellow of The Centre for African Management and Markets at The Gordon Institute of Business Science and regularly writes and often speaks on Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Transformation.

Nancy V Chakabuda

Nancy is a Chartered Accountant (SA) and Internal Controls Director EMEA for Cummins Inc. She is a self-motivated, visionary and transformational leader, with a passion for coaching and people development. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with solid multiple stakeholder management and business partnering skills. Nancy has an entrepreneurial mindset and high technical proficiency in risk management, business process improvement and corporate governance, she provides sustainable and innovative business and finance process solutions.

Dineshrie Pillay

Dineshrie is a business executive coach, working with clients to deliver motivational speeches, leadership development and individual/group coaching. She is a Chartered Accountant (SA) and a member of the Institute of Management Accountants, as well as being author of “The contract with yourself” and “Ignition: 3 steps to drive from a newbie presenter to an expert speaker”.

Errol Finkelstein

Errol is Chartered Accountant (SA) and founder of Corporate Solutions.ai based in Wales – focused on artificial intelligence, machine learning and natural language processing. Digital assistants and chatbots – with 100+ enterprise clients globally and over 1,000 million successful conversations. Hundreds of problems resolved through data analytics. Primary client base are large banks, insurers, healthcare providers, telcos, IT companies, retail, engineering, universities and other large, complex often regulated enterprises.

Natasha Holbeck (moderator)

Natasha is a Chartered Accountant (SA) and US CPA. She is a Financial Services audit partner with Deloitte, based in New York, and leads the Family Office audit practice within the Investment Management Industry serving both public and private companies. Natasha is also CAW Network USA’s representative for SAICA, as well as being SAICA’s international Council member representing members in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean.
