Chartered Accountants Ireland (The Institute) is a membership body representing 26,000 influential members throughout the globe. Our role is to educate, represent and support our members. Our members work in senior positions in practice and industry. We are committed to restoring confidence at every level of the economy. We work with governments and businesses to raise awareness of the importance of sound financial advice.

There are over 1.7m chartered accountants and students around the world − talented, ethical and committed professionals who use their expertise to ensure we have a successful and sustainable future. Over 150,000 of these are ICAEW Chartered Accountants.

We train, develop and support each one of them so that they have the knowledge and values to help build local and global economies that are sustainable, accountable and fair.

We’ve been at the heart of the accountancy profession since we were founded in 1880 to ensure trust in business. We share our knowledge and insight with governments, regulators and business leaders worldwide as we believe accountancy is a force for positive economic change across the world.

ICAS is a professional body for more than 20,000 world class business men and women who work in the UK and in more than 100 countries around the world. Members have all achieved the internationally recognised and respected CA qualification.

The mission of SAICA is to serve the interests of the chartered accountancy profession and society, by upholding professional standards and integrity, and the pre-eminence of South African CAs nationally and internationally, by:

• Delivering competent entry – level members
• Providing services to the members to maintain and enhance their professional competence thereby enabling them to create value for their clients and employers
• Enhancing the quality and information used in the private and public sectors for measuring and enhancing organisational performance
• Running and facilitating programmes to transform the profession and to facilitate community upliftment
• Fulfilling a leadership role regarding relevant business-related issues and providing reliable and respected public commentary

The Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) is the national accountancy body of Singapore. ISCA’s vision is to be a globally recognised professional accountancy body, bringing value to our members, the profession and wider community. There are over 32,000 ISCA members making their stride in businesses across industries in Singapore and around the world.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is a statutory body established under the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 for the regulation of the profession of Chartered Accountants in India.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) established under The Chartered Accountants Ordinance, 1961 is a professional self-regulatory body, operating under the CA Bye Laws 1983 and represents accountants employed in public practice, business and industry, and the public and private sectors.

Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) is a self-regulated body for the accountancy profession in Zambia. It was established by an Act of Parliament of 1982 and repealed by the Accountant’s Act of 2008. The primary mandate of the Institute is to promote and regulate the accountancy profession through the registration of accountants in practice, accountants in business, and accountants in the public sector.

Ikatan Akuntan Indonesia (Institute of Indonesia Chartered Accountants – IAI) is the recognised professional accountancy organisation in Indonesia. Established in December 23^rd, 1957, IAI continues to serve and develop the accountancy profession in the country through among others, establishment of the Chartered Accountant (CA) Indonesia qualification and other professional accountancy certifications, continuous education and training, and standard-setting activities.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) is the national body of accountants in Sri Lanka incorporated by an Act of Parliament in 1959. As the sole authority in promulgating accounting and auditing standards in Sri Lanka, CA Sri Lanka has contributed immensely towards fostering financial knowledge, promulgating globally accepted accounting and auditing standards and thereby bringing the financial landscape of Sri Lanka to a firm footing. The Institute holds memberships of the South Asian Federation of Accountants, which is an apex body of SAARC, Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants, and International Federation of Accountants.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) is the National Professional Accountancy Body in Bangladesh, established under the Bangladesh Chartered Accountants Order, 1973 for the purpose of regulating the profession of accountants and related matters. ICAB is a leading professional membership organization that promotes and develops the accountancy profession in Bangladesh.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) was established by the Act of Parliament No.15 of 1965 to regulate the practice of Accountancy Profession in Nigeria and to set standards to be attained by persons seeking to be members of the profession.

Chartered Institute of Accountants in Malawi (ICAM) – merged the operations of Public Accountants and Examinations Council of Malawi with those of the Society of Accountants in Malawi (SOCAM).

ICAM was incorporated on 23 August 2013.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe (ICAZ) is the longest established and largest Zimbabwean professional accountancy organization. It was set up on 11 January 1918 and is a statutory body incorporated in terms of the Chartered Accountants Act [Chapter 27:02]. It is a leading professional membership organization that promotes and develops the accountancy profession in Zimbabwe. The mission of the Institute is to enhance the International standing of the qualification CA(Z) for the benefit of its members, to support them in providing quality services in the public interest. Its goal is to be the pre-eminent professional body in the development and promotion of accountancy, assurance and advisory services, business and good governance practices.
